The Rugby Championship
The Rugby Championship is a comprehensive guide to the Annual Rugby Tournament held between Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina.
The 2012 tournament takes place between 18th August and 6th September 2012.
This is the first time the tournament has been played in this format since Argentina joined the three SANZAR nations.
Each of the four teams play each other twice on a home and away basis.
As well as competing for the Rugby Championship Title,the teams also play for an additional trophies, the winning team being the one who wins most out of the matches played.
- Australia v New Zealand compete for the Bledisloe Cup.
- Australia v South Africa compete for the Nelson Mandela Challenge Plate.
- New Zealand v South Africa compete for the Freedom Cup.
- Australia v Argentina compete for the Puma Trophy
